Astro Kapoor

Our place is in New Delhi, specifically at AM 110 inside the Dainik Janyug Society. It’s part of the Abhimanyu Apartment complex in Vasundhara Enclave. If you’ve ever walked around this part of Delhi, you know how the buildings all sort of look the same after a while. We are just in one of those units. The society is usually quiet in the mornings before everyone starts heading out for their day. We have a small desk and some chairs set up here at Astro Kapoor. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up or is being used by someone moving furniture, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything. It feels more like a home because it’s tucked away in a residential area. The security guards at the gate know us pretty well by now and usually give us a nod when we walk in. We spend a lot of time just sitting here, looking out the window at the parking lot or the trees in the courtyard. In the summers, the air conditioning is the most important thing in the room because the heat can be brutal. We try to keep things organized, but there’s always a pile of papers or a stray coffee mug somewhere on the table. It's just a regular spot where we do our business. People in the society are mostly friendly, though we keep to ourselves. It’s a decent place.
