We are based over at No. 706- B in the Somdutt Chambers- 11 building. That’s at No. 9 Bikaji Cama Place, which is a pretty well-known business hub in the city. Even though it’s a big commercial complex, our office feels more like a local workshop. We deal with trading, so there’s always someone calling about prices or delivery dates. The office is on the seventh floor, so we get a bit of a view, but mostly we are looking at our screens or the piles of folders on our desks. Amefrec Trading is a private limited company, but we don't act like some big corporate entity. We are just a group of people trying to keep the business steady. Bikaji Cama Place can be a bit overwhelming with all the people in suits and the busy parking lots. We just do our own thing in our unit. Sometimes the elevator takes forever, so we end up chatting with the neighbors. Our day starts early and usually ends with a lot of double-checking the ledgers. We don’t have any polished speeches or big fancy brochures. We just talk to our clients like normal people and try to solve whatever problems come up with the trades. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We’ve been here long enough that the guards know us by name.
