Our office is in the Rajnigandha Complex, which is a busy spot on Desh Bandhu Gupta Road in Paharganj. If you have ever been to Paharganj, you know it is never quiet. There is a constant noise of horns, people shouting, and the general hum of a thousand things happening at once. We are at number 8734, and we handle a mix of chemicals and pharmaceutical products for Allied Chemicals & Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd. The building is older, with that classic look you find in this part of Delhi. We spend our days coordinating deliveries and making sure the right supplies get to the right people. It is a lot of paperwork and phone calls, and sometimes it feels like we are in our own little world despite all the chaos just outside the door. The Rajnigandha Complex has many different businesses, so we see all kinds of people in the hallways. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just shelves of records and the equipment we need to do our jobs. It gets very dusty because of the road, so we are always cleaning the desks. Lunch is usually something quick from one of the stalls nearby because there is always something that needs to be finished. It’s a tough, busy place to work, but it’s what we know. We stay until late most nights, making sure the orders for the next day are ready to go out before the traffic gets too bad. That is how we work.
