Alfa Polymers is situated on Plot No. 154/597 in Pooth Khurd. We are quite close to the DSIIDC Industrial Area in Bawana. It’s a bit of a dusty location, as there is always construction or heavy trucks passing by. We work with polymer materials here. The facility isn't something out of a magazine. It's a functional space with heavy machinery and bags of raw plastic pellets everywhere. We spend most of our time monitoring the temperatures and making sure the molds are filling correctly. It’s repetitive work, but it requires a lot of attention. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just the owner and a handful of workers who have been doing this for years. We eat lunch together and talk about the news or the local weather. When a machine breaks down, we usually try to fix it ourselves before calling in a specialist. It saves money and we know our equipment well. We don’t write fancy reports. We just keep a log of what we made and who it’s going to. The location in Bawana is handy for transport, even if the roads are a bit rough in the rainy season. We just do our best to keep the production line moving and ensure the pieces we make are solid. It’s a simple, hardworking environment. We often have some tea in the afternoon to keep us going through the final shift.
