Acme Exim

Our office for Acme Exim is situated in Flat # 55 of the Vaishali Apartments. It’s a residential complex, so it stays fairly calm during the day while most people are out at their own jobs. We like it that way because it lets us focus on the paperwork. Handling imports and exports requires a lot of concentration and keeping track of many small details. We’ve set up our desks in the main rooms and turned the rest into storage for our records. It’s a bit unusual running a business out of an apartment, but it works for us. We don’t need a big storefront for what we do. Most of our business happens over the phone or through the computer anyway. Sometimes we have to meet people, but we usually go to them or meet in a cafe nearby. The apartments are well-maintained, which is nice. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us well. There’s a lot of logistics involved in our daily routine, checking on containers and making sure the transport is lined up. It’s a lot of waiting for news and then rushing to get things done once a shipment arrives. We just keep plugging away at it. It’s a small, quiet operation but we stay busy enough to keep the lights on and things moving forward.
