Shameem Cafe

Shameem Cafe is located at 55 Saraswathi Nagar in the Dargamitta area. It’s a neighborhood spot where the local residents stop by throughout the day. We’ve got a small space that’s usually filled with the sound of the stove hissing and people talking about their day. The street outside can be a bit dusty, so we spend a fair amount of time sweeping the front and wiping down the tables. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle everything from making the tea to serving the snacks. The kitchen is small and gets quite hot, especially in the afternoons, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We have some old plastic chairs out front where the regulars like to sit and watch the cars go by. It’s a friendly place, and we know most of our customers by name. We don't go in for fancy menus or expensive decorations. The walls have a few old photos, and the lighting is just a couple of simple tubes. Sometimes we run out of something and have to run down the street to get more, but our customers are patient and don't seem to mind the wait. Dargamitta is a nice place to be, and we’re just happy to be a small part of the community here. It’s hard work, but seeing the same people every day makes it feel worth the effort for us.
