New Baji Paints

New Baji Paints is located at 958/261 on the Trunk Road in Santhapet. Being on the Trunk Road means there is always noise from the trucks and buses passing by. It’s a loud area, but it keeps us busy. The shop isn’t very large, but we pack a lot of stuff into the space we have. Most days start with me checking the stock levels and seeing what needs to be moved around. The walls inside are covered with different color swatches, though some of them have faded over the years. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out shades, which can take a long time if they aren't sure what they want. Santhapet is a good neighborhood, and we know many of the people who walk past every day. Sometimes the light in the shop isn't the best for seeing the true colors, so we end up taking the cans outside to the sidewalk to show them in the sun. It's a bit of a messy job, handling paint all day. You have to be careful not to spill anything on the floor because it's hard to get up once it dries. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people seeing the sign while they’re driving down the road. It’s just a straightforward paint shop where we try to keep things moving. We keep the counter clear of clutter as much as possible, but it usually ends up covered in pens and receipts.
