K. V. K. Granites

If you go to Childrens Park Road, we are at No. 16-4-14081st Floor. K. V. K. Granites is a bit different because our main office area is upstairs, away from the immediate mess of the cutting. It’s a bit of a climb, but it gives us a better view of the road. Childrens Park Road is a local landmark, so people find us easily enough. Downstairs and in the back is where all the real work happens. We have various samples of granite spread out so people can touch them and see the grain. Stone is a natural thing, so no two pieces ever look exactly the same, which is what makes it interesting. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who walk in off the street. It can get pretty loud when the traffic is heavy and the saws are running at the same time. We don’t try to act like a big corporate office; we just sit at our desks and handle the orders as they come in. Sometimes we have tea on the balcony and watch the people going to the park. It’s a good spot to be. We've been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners on the street. It’s a simple business, really. We just provide the granite and try to stay organized enough to find everything.
