Meetal Steels is situated on Ganesh Marg in Sumerpur, right near the HDFC Bank. If you’re looking for us, just look for the stacks of steel rods and the heavy trucks. Our yard is where most of the action happens. It’s a gritty, practical place where we handle a lot of heavy lifting every single day. We deal with all kinds of steel products that people need for building houses or other structures. It’s hard work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We aren’t a corporate office with air conditioning. We spend most of our time outside or in the open-sided shed. The bank next door is always busy, so there’s a lot of coming and going on our street. We’ve been here for years and have seen many businesses come and go, but we just keep doing our thing. Our customers are mostly local contractors and farmers who need something sturdy. We don't do much in the way of marketing. We figure if we do a decent job, people will tell their friends. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy, but we try to keep it sorted so we can find things quickly. We use a simple ledger for our accounts because it’s what we’re used to. It’s a straightforward business. We buy steel, we store it, and we sell it. There’s no mystery to it. We just show up every morning and get to work like everyone else in Sumerpur.
