Sri Raghunath Flyash Bricks

Machhipada Village is a quiet place most of the time, but our brick yard keeps things moving. We are located in the Odagaon Tehsil, and the post office is just a short walk away. We make flyash bricks, which means almost everything around here has a bit of a grey tint to it. It is messy work, and by the end of a long shift, everyone looks like they have been rolled in ash. We have a few machines that do the heavy lifting, but there is still a lot of manual labor involved. Stacking the bricks takes forever, and you have to be careful not to chip the edges when they are fresh. The sun beats down on the open ground, so we try to get most of the heavy stuff done before noon. Our yard is just a big open space with some sheds for the machinery. We do not have a fancy showroom for customers. If someone wants to see the bricks, they just walk around the piles with us. We get a lot of locals who are building their first homes. They usually come by with a small cart or a tractor to pick up what they need for the week. Sometimes the batches do not come out perfect, so we set those aside for smaller projects. It is just how it is with this kind of work. We do not try to pretend we are bigger than we are. We are just a small outfit in Machhipada.
