Khatei Fly Ash Brick

Khatei Fly Ash Brick is located right in the Nayagarh Main Market area. We are very close to the Nayagarh Government College, so we see a lot of students and teachers walking past every day. Being in the market makes it a bit cramped compared to the big rural yards, but we make it work. We have to be careful about how we stack the bricks so they don’t take up too much space or spill over into the street. The noise of the market—people shouting, horns honking—is part of our daily life. We use fly ash to make our bricks, and we have a small machine tucked away in the back of the lot. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we all pitch in to help with the heavy lifting. Because we are near the college, we sometimes have people stopping by just to ask questions about how the bricks are made. We don't have any fancy brochures, we just show them the machines. The ground is paved in some spots and just dirt in others, and it gets quite messy when we are mixing a new batch. We have to coordinate the delivery trucks carefully because the market roads can get very congested during the middle of the day. It’s a busy, dusty spot, but it is right in the heart of Nayagarh, and we have been here for quite some time. We just take it one day at a time.
