Vinayak Computers

Vinayak Computers is located at 18 Surya Complex. We are right opposite the Mamlatdar Office, which is the main landmark everyone uses to find our door. Surya Complex is one of those typical buildings with a lot of movement. Since we are near a government office, there are always people rushing around with papers and files. Inside our shop, it’s mostly old monitors, computer towers, and tangled wires. It’s not very tidy, but I know where every screw and motherboard is kept. The air conditioner is a bit loud, but it’s necessary because the machines get so hot during the day. We spend the whole day fixing broken screens or trying to get old laptops to turn on again. I usually have a cup of tea sitting on my desk, hopefully not too close to the keyboards I'm working on. The lighting is a bit dim in the back where I do the soldering. It’s a small shop but it belongs to us. We don't have any fancy marketing or a big sign outside. Just a simple board with the name on it. Some days it’s very quiet and I just read the newspaper while waiting for a customer. Other days, four people show up at once with broken hard drives and they all want them fixed immediately. It’s unpredictable work. We’ve been at Surya Complex for several years now and we know the tea guy and the stationery shop owner next door quite well.
