Riseup India Life Transformation Foundation

We have been working out of our office at 646, behind the Amardeep Stone place on College Road for a good few years now. Bilimora is a small enough town that most people know where that is, right near the college area where it gets quite busy in the mornings. We are the Riseup India Life Transformation Foundation, but mostly people around here just call us by our names. We aren't some big corporate group from the city. We are just local folks from Navsari who wanted to do something that actually helps the people living in this neighborhood. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It has a couple of old desks and a lot of paper stacked up everywhere. We spend most of our time just talking to people who walk through the door needing a bit of help with their lives. Sometimes it is about finding work and other times it is just about having someone to listen. We don't have any big goals written down on the wall. We just try to be useful whenever we can. The tea guy comes by twice a day and that is usually when we take our breaks. It is a simple life and the work can be pretty tiring some days. We don't do any of that fancy advertising you see elsewhere. If we do a good job, people tell their cousins and then they show up too. That is how we have always operated. It is just how things go here on College Road.
