Gajanan Stone Traders

We operate out of P-237 in the GIDC area. It’s mostly just a yard with piles of stone and a small shack for the paperwork. Gajanan Stone Traders isn't a complicated business. We get the stone in, we move it around, and then it goes out to whoever bought it. The yard is usually dusty, and when it rains, it gets quite muddy, which makes moving things a bit of a headache. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading. Most of our day is spent outdoors, checking the stock or talking to truck drivers. It’s a simple way to make a living. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us wearing boots and covered in a bit of grit. We’ve been at this spot for quite a few years now. We know the other traders around here, and we all just do our own thing. There’s no big philosophy behind it. We just try to provide what people ask for and keep our accounts mostly straight. The sun can be pretty hot out in the yard, but we have a bit of shade where we sit and drink water. It’s a straightforward business for straightforward people. We don't do much marketing, we just wait for the trucks to arrive and then we get to work on the loading. It is what it is.
