Our shop is right there on Hanuman Mandir Road in Sector 26, Kopri Gaon. If you know the Shree Smarth Kirpa Building, you know where we are. Vashi is always busy, but this part of the village has its own pace. I usually open up the doors around mid-morning. The first thing I do is dust the shelves because the road outside brings in a lot of grit. We have all sorts of clothes and items piled up. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once. The walls are covered in hangers. I’ve been sitting behind this counter for a long time now. You see the same faces every day, people going to the temple or kids coming back from school. We don't really do much advertising. People just know we are here. Sometimes the lights in the back flicker, and I keep meaning to fix that, but I never get around to it. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door wide open to catch whatever breeze comes off the street. Dealing with wholesalers takes up a lot of my time, checking the bags that come in to make sure everything is there. It’s not a fancy mall shop with air conditioning and glass doors. It’s just a regular local spot where you can find what you need without a fuss. We keep things simple here.
