About Sanskriti Hast Shilp – Fashion & Trends in Navi Mumbai
Our spot is No. 204 Priti Park Sector-2 Sanpada. It is on the second floor of the building. We’ve been at this address for a good while now and we know the stairs pretty well since the lift is sometimes out of order. Sanskriti Hast Shilp is where we keep all the handmade items we work with. The room is usually filled with the smell of wood and sometimes glue or paint, depending on what arrived that day. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, though it’s a bit of a struggle to reach the top ones without the wobbly ladder we keep in the closet. Sanpada can get really busy with traffic, especially in Sector-2, so we hear the honking from the street all day long. Priti Park is a decent area though. We have a small kettle in the corner for making coffee when the weather gets a bit cooler. Most days we are just busy checking the pieces one by one to make sure they aren't broken or scratched. It's slow work but we don't mind it much. The windows look out over some other buildings and a bit of the park trees. Sometimes the kids from the building play in the hallway and it gets noisy. We just keep the door closed and stay focused on the crafts. It isn’t a fancy office, just a place where we get things done and keep the items stored until they need to go out.
