Lauret

Lauret is based out of the Yashodeep Co-Operative Society in Airoli. We are in Flat Number 102, which is part of Plot Any D 49 in Sector 9. Navi Mumbai is a big place, but Sector 9 has its own feel to it. It’s a mix of people living their lives and small businesses like ours tucked into the apartment buildings. Working from a flat means it’s not your typical corporate environment. We have a small kitchen area and the rooms have been converted into workspace. It’s a bit tight when we have a lot of files, but it works for us. The building has been around for a while, and you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day—kids playing outside or someone’s television through the walls. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist at a big desk. You just come to the door and knock. Most of our work is done on the phones or computers anyway. Being in Navi Mumbai means we are close to the station, which makes it easier for some of us to get to work, though the walk from the station can be hot in the afternoons. We’ve been in this society for a bit now and the neighbors are used to us. It’s just a regular group of people doing their jobs in a regular part of town. No frills, just work. Once you get to Sector 9, you just look for the Yashodeep building and we are there.
