Pragati Engineers Consultants is based at Plot W-348 in Rabale MIDC. We are right on the Thane Belapur Road, which is always packed with trucks and cars. Our office is a bit cramped because we have so many drawings and files stacked up everywhere. We spend a lot of time looking at technical plans and trying to figure out how to solve problems for different sites. It’s not just sitting at desks though, as we’re often out in the field getting our boots muddy. The noise from the main road is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees. It is just a small group of us who know our way around engineering. We drink a lot of coffee and spend hours arguing over the best way to handle a specific project. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to stay late to fix a mistake in a calculation. We don’t have a receptionist, so if you call, you’ll probably just talk to whoever is closest to the phone. It’s a busy life in the MIDC area, and there is always something that needs looking at. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep our clients from getting too stressed out.
