Our place, Baijnath Lifestyle Furniture, is tucked away in Birchwood CHS Ltd within Hiranandani Gardens. We are right next to the Pizza Hut, which makes it easy to find us if you’re near IIT Mumbai in Powai. It’s a nice area, though parking can be a bit of a pain sometimes. We deal with all sorts of home stuff, mostly furniture that people need for their flats around here. It’s not a massive warehouse, just a local spot where we keep things moving. We spend a lot of time looking at wood grains and measuring dimensions. Furniture is one of those things where you really have to see how it fits in a room. We’ve seen a lot of families move into the neighborhood over the years. Some people want modern stuff, others want something more traditional. We just try to have a bit of everything. The office part is in Flat B/1603, so it feels more like a home than a shop sometimes. We don't do big fancy sales pitches. If a chair is comfortable, it’s comfortable. If a table is sturdy, it’s sturdy. That’s about as complicated as we make it. We’ve got a small crew helping out with the lifting and the deliveries. It’s steady work and we enjoy being part of the Powai community. It is a simple life of selling chairs and tables to neighbors.
