N G Apparels

If you head out to the TTC Industrial Area in Rabale, you’ll find us at R-523. It’s a pretty standard industrial shed, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of sewing machines and people moving stacks of fabric around. We’ve been running N G Apparels from this spot for a good bit of time. The Midc area gets quite dusty, so we spend a lot of time just trying to keep the workspace clean for the clothes. We don’t really do big advertising; we just take the orders that come in and try to get the stitching right. Some days are more hectic than others, especially when a big shipment is due and the tempo picks up. Our team is a mix of people who have been sewing for decades and some newer folks learning the ropes. We handle all sorts of garments, mostly focusing on getting the seams straight and the sizing consistent. It's practical work. There’s no big corporate office here, just a small corner with a couple of chairs and a telephone that rings more than it should. We get our supplies from local vendors and try to keep things moving. If you’re coming to visit, the Rabale station isn’t too far, but the walk can be long in the heat. We just focus on the clothes and getting them boxed up properly.
