We are based at D-61 in the APMC Masala Market, which is part of Phase II in Sector 19, Vashi. If you have ever been to the Vashi market, you know how busy and chaotic it can get. There are trucks everywhere and people shouting to get things moved. We have been operating from this stall for many years. It is a wholesale environment, so we deal with large sacks of spices like turmeric, chillies, and cumin. The floor is usually covered in a bit of spice dust, and the air is heavy with the scent of different herbs. We don’t have a fancy office. Our workspace is just a small corner with an old wooden desk and some ledgers. We spend our day checking the quality of the bags that come in and making sure the orders are ready for the buyers. It is hard physical work, and our clothes usually smell like the market by the end of the day. Vashi is a hub for this kind of trade, and we are just one of many businesses here. We have a few steady workers who have been with us for a long time. We don’t use any corporate language or have a big marketing plan. We just show up every morning, handle the stock, and try to keep things moving. It is a very practical way to earn a living, and we are content with that.
