Green City Departmental Stores

We run this store at B-1-59 in Sector-6, Vashi. It’s right in the heart of Navi Mumbai, 400703. Green City Departmental Stores is basically a local shop where we spend our whole day. From the time we open the shutters in the morning until we close them at night, it’s a lot of standing and moving things around. Sector-6 is a residential area, so we see the same people every day. We know who likes what and who is just stopping by for a quick thing. The store isn't huge, but we try to keep the shelves filled up. It can get pretty humid in Vashi, so we just keep the door open to get some breeze. We don't have a fancy marketing team or anyone telling us how to talk. We just talk to our customers like neighbors because that’s what they are. Sometimes we sit on the stools behind the counter when it’s quiet and just watch the cars go by on the street. It’s a simple life, running a departmental store. We have to check the stock and make sure everything is in its place. The 400703 area is a good place to be. We’ve been at B-1-59 for quite a while now, and the building feels like a second home. It’s just us doing our daily work. There is always a lot to clean and organize before we head home.
