B. P. Spices

You’ll find us in Office No. 208, right inside the APMC building. Being in the APMC means we are in the heart of the whole wholesale world. It’s a massive building with lots of corridors and other offices just like ours. Our room is on the second floor, and it’s usually filled with the smell of whatever spices are being moved that day. It’s a strong scent that sticks to your clothes, but we don't mind it anymore. The office itself is quite functional. We have some shelves for samples, a few desks, and a lot of paperwork because of all the tracking we have to do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to people who come up to see what we have in stock. It’s a noisy building with people constantly moving around in the hallways. We don’t have any of those modern office amenities like a break room. We just have our workspace and a small stove to make some tea when things get slow. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the spices and talking to the people who supply us. It is a steady business, and we’ve been doing it for enough years that we know the market pretty well. It’s just about getting the work done and being fair with the people we deal with every day.
