B K Banka Associates operates out of Flat No 403 in Building No 1 of Neel Sankul. We’re located in Sector No 11 in Kalamboli, which is a busy part of Navi Mumbai. The building is one of those steady places where you know your neighbors. Being on the fourth floor, we have a decent view of the area, but mostly we’re looking at the paperwork on our desks. As chartered accountants, our lives revolve around the financial calendar. There’s a lot of coming and going, especially when deadlines are near. The office itself is set up inside a residential-style flat, so it feels more like a home than a corporate office. We have a few computers set up, a printer that sometimes jams, and a lot of box files lining the walls. Navi Mumbai life is a bit different from the main city, and Kalamboli has its own pace. We’ve been part of this community for a while, and the 410 218 pin code is where we feel most at home. It’s not a glamorous job, but B K Banka and the rest of us take it seriously. We spend our days making sure the math works out and the forms are filled correctly. It’s just a regular office in a regular building, doing the best we can with the work in front of us. We usually keep some snacks in the drawer for those long evenings.
