Mohit Jain'S Dance Institute

We started this place at Patil Plaza on College Road a few years back. Tucked away in the Vise Mala area, our studio is where we teach dance classes to whoever wants to learn. It isn't a very big space but there is enough room for a group to move around without hitting the walls. Mohit usually runs the sessions most days. You will mostly hear loud music and see people trying their best to get the footwork right. We don't do anything fancy here. Our classes are just for local folks who want to move a bit or learn a new style. Sometimes the floor gets a bit dusty from all the shoes. We try to sweep it often but with so many people coming in and out, it stays a bit lived-in. It is a very basic spot without those big lights or cameras you see on television. We just show you where to put your feet and how to keep the rhythm. Mirrors on the walls help everyone see what they are doing wrong. It can get pretty warm in the summer months so we keep a few fans going. If you're looking for us, head toward the college area and find the plaza. Our sign isn't huge, just the name on the glass. This is a regular job for us and we enjoy the routine of coming in and teaching every day.
