Vijay General Store

Our store sits on Shri Nagar Road, just a few doors down from Datta Hotel. It has been here for years now. We mostly sell things people need for their kitchens or houses every day. It isn't a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. Just shelves filled with stuff like soap, tea, matches, and grains. The street outside gets quite dusty in the summer, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass counters. Most of our customers are folks who live right here in the neighborhood. They stop by on their way home from work to pick up whatever they forgot to buy earlier in the week. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone finishes their shift. We don't have a big staff, usually just a couple of us behind the counter. It can get a bit hectic trying to find specific items when someone asks for something we haven't seen in a while. The location is good because everyone knows where Datta Hotel is, so we just tell them to look for us nearby. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the stock piles up in the back room and it takes a minute to dig things out. It is just a regular life here, really. We open up early and stay till late, watching the traffic go by on Shri Nagar Road. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a local store doing what stores do.
