Vaibhavlaxmi Kirana & General Store

Our little shop is right there at Shop No 2 in Aksharam Appt. If you know Anand Nagar Road in Nashik, you’ve probably walked past us a hundred times. We are quite close to Jadhav Hospital, so we get a lot of people coming by after their appointments. Running Vaibhavlaxmi Kirana & General Store isn't anything fancy. Most days, I’m just here early in the morning to take the milk delivery and start sweeping the front. It’s a basic place with shelves full of the usual stuff—bags of rice, different kinds of dals, soaps, and those little packets of biscuits the kids like. Sometimes the shop feels too small when we get a big shipment of oil tins in, and we have to stack them in the corner. Nashik weather gets pretty hot, so the fan is always humming in the background. We don’t really have a big team or anything, just us making sure people in Anand Nagar can get what they need without going too far. The neighborhood has changed a bit over the years, but the routine stays the same. People come in, they chat for a minute about the rain or the traffic, buy their groceries, and head out. We try to keep everything in stock, but sometimes the supplier is late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes here. Nothing more to it.
