Sadiq Flour Mill

The Sadiq Flour Mill is right in the heart of Old Nashik, specifically in the Nanavali area. If you walk down the street, you can usually smell the fresh flour before you even see our door. It’s an old part of town with narrow lanes and lots of history. Our mill has been here for a long time, and we’ve seen generations of families coming in to get their grain ground. The shop is always covered in a thin layer of white dust, no matter how much we sweep. It just comes with the territory. The machines make a lot of noise, a sort of steady thumping that you can feel in your feet. We don’t have any fancy signs or modern displays. It’s just the mill, the bags of grain, and the scale. People from the neighborhood stop by all day long. Sometimes they stay to chat for a bit while they wait. It’s a very local kind of place. We don’t really do any advertising. Everyone in Nanavali knows where we are. Dealing with the heat and the dust every day can be tiring, but it’s the work we know. The machinery needs a lot of looking after so it doesn't break down at the wrong time. We just take it one bag at a time and try to keep everyone happy. It’s a simple life, being a part of the daily routine for so many local people.
