Shree Siddhivinayak Kirana & General Store

Running a shop in Sukhshanti Housing Society means we are basically part of the furniture for the families living here. We are tucked into Shop No 4 on Datta Mandir Road, not far from the Sai Baba Mandir in Nashik Road. The area has its own pace, and we’ve settled into it over the years. Most of our mornings are spent checking what ran out the night before and making a list for the suppliers. It’s a kirana store, so it’s mostly food items and household stuff that people forget to buy during their big weekly trips to the market. We know most of our customers by name, and sometimes their kids come in to run errands for their parents. The space is a bit tight when we get a big shipment of sacks or crates, but we shuffle things around to make room for everyone to walk. It’s not always perfectly tidy, but we know exactly where everything is. Being near the temple, we get a mix of regulars and people just passing through. We don't have a massive staff, just a couple of us handling the counter and the inventory. Sometimes the fans are a bit loud, and the street outside gets noisy with traffic, but it’s home to us. We’ve been at this for a while and don’t plan on changing much. It’s just about being here when someone needs a bag of flour or some matches. It’s a practical way to spend the day.
