Shree Gurudatta Provision And General Store is tucked away in Shop No.9 of the Triveni Darshan Apartment on Bhabha Nagar Road. It’s a busy part of Nashik, especially being so close to Gaikwad Hall where there’s always something going on. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter or moving boxes around to make sure everything is where it should be. The Bhabha Nagar area has changed a lot since we started, but the shop stays pretty much the same. People from the apartments upstairs come down in their slippers to grab milk or some soap they ran out of. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that, it's just us making sure the pulses and grains are clean and the fridge is running right. Sometimes I forget to update the prices on the shelf right away when things change, but we figure it out at the counter. The street noise is constant, and you can always hear the scooters zooming past toward the main road. It gets dusty, so wiping down the jars is a never-ending job that I usually do while listening to the radio. It’s a simple life, running a provision store, and we are just happy to be part of this neighborhood where everyone knows everyone else’s business anyway. I try to stay open late because people usually realize they need things at the very last minute.
