Shiv Shakti Super Market

You can find us over at Jachak Mala, specifically at Shop No 2 on Jai Bhawani Road. We’ve been part of Deolali Gaon for a while now. Being near Viraj Sweets is handy because everyone knows that landmark in Nashik. We call ourselves Shiv Shakti Super Market, but it’s really just a local store where we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. It’s a lot of work keeping track of what’s running low. One day it’s sugar, the next day everyone seems to need the same brand of tea. We spend a lot of time just unpacking crates and putting things away. The shop isn't exactly modern or polished, but it works for the people living around here. In the evenings, it gets pretty busy when people are coming back from work. The street noise from Jai Bhawani Road is always there, which you just get used to after a few weeks. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. People just know we are here. Sometimes we forget to change the old price tags or the floor gets a bit muddy when it rains, but we do our best to keep things moving. We’ve got the regular staples, some snacks, and household cleaners. It’s a simple business, and we are just regular people trying to run it. Every morning starts the same way, opening the shutters and seeing who comes in first.
