Shatriya Classes

Shatriya Classes is on Old Agra Road in Niphad. Our area code is 422303. Being right on Old Agra Road means there is almost always some noise from the trucks and cars passing by. It’s an old part of Nashik and it has a lot of character, I think. The building we are in has been around for a long time. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to be careful. Inside, we've set up a couple of small classrooms. I usually keep the windows shut to keep the noise out, but sometimes we need the breeze when it gets stuffy. I’ve been teaching here for many years now. I know the names of all the shopkeepers nearby and they know me. We don't have a website or any of that fancy modern stuff. People just know where we are by word of mouth. I spend my days writing on the board and checking the kids' work. The lighting isn't the best in the back, so we added some extra tubes last year to help. It’s a very practical environment for learning. There’s no fluff or marketing talk here. We just sit down and get to the studying. Sometimes the kids bring snacks to share during the break, which is a nice touch. By the time I finish the last class, the sun is down and the road is finally quiet. It’s a good life.
