We are up on the third floor of the Shalimaar Tower. If you’ve ever been to this part of Shalimaara, you know how the parking can be a real headache most days. The building itself has seen better days, and the lift is one of those old ones that makes a weird rattling sound every time it passes the second floor. It usually makes us a little nervous, but it hasn't stuck yet. Our space here isn’t much to look at, just a few desks, some computers that hum too loud, and a lot of cables running across the floor that everyone trips over. We spend a lot of time looking out the windows at the traffic below when the internet slows down. It gets pretty stuffy in here during the summer months because the AC unit is older than most of the staff. We usually keep a few fans going to move the air around. There is a small stall downstairs that sells decent samosas, so that’s basically our lunch most days of the week. People come and go through the hallway, and you can hear the voices from the other offices through the thin walls. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to get things done without too much fuss. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we all just sit there in the dark waiting for the generator to kick in. It is just how life is in this building most of the time.
