Shakti Exports is situated out on Pune Road in Sinnar, right near the B.M. Tawri Petrol Pump. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the pump is. Our location is basically a large warehouse with a small office partitioned off in the front. Since we are on the main road, we see a lot of long-distance trucks passing by all day. Our work involves a lot of packing and checking containers before they head out. We handle various goods, so the inventory is always changing depending on the month. The office is pretty basic—just a couple of desks, a computer that’s a few years old, and a lot of logbooks. Sinnar can get very hot during the summer, so the warehouse feels like an oven sometimes, but we just get on with it. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our connections are made through years of being in the trade. We focus on the logistics and making sure the paperwork matches what’s in the boxes. It’s not glamorous work, and there is a lot of dust from the road that finds its way inside. We keep a cooler with water for the drivers who stop by. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere here. We’ve been near the petrol pump for a long time, and it’s a convenient spot for shipping things out across the region.
