Saideep Kirana And General Stores

Our shop sits right on Jayabai Colony Road, just across from K J Mehata High School. Being in the Nashik Road area, we get a lot of foot traffic, especially when the school bells ring and the kids come pouring out. We’ve been here in Dawkhar Wadi for quite some time now. Saideep Kirana And General Stores is a small place, but we try to keep it filled with everything a household might need. From different types of rice to detergents and little snacks, it’s all tucked into the shelves. My brother and I run the place, so one of us is always here from morning until we close up at night. The Nashik weather can be quite unpredictable, so we’re always making sure the stock stays dry during the heavy rains. We don't use any of those fancy billing machines; we just write everything down in a notebook and do the math in our heads. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and the neighbors. People from the colony often stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need to buy anything that day. We know who likes which brand of tea and who prefers a specific kind of soap. It’s a busy life, especially during the evening rush when everyone is coming home from work, but we like being part of the community here. It is just steady, daily work for us.
