Nishant General Store

Our little shop is located right at Shop No-1 in Panchvati, specifically on Panchvati Road. Being near the bus stand means we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some people are just passing through and need a quick snack or a bottle of water, while others live right around the corner and come in for their weekly supplies. Nishant General Store isn't a huge place, so we have to be careful about how we stack things on the shelves so everything fits without falling over. It gets a bit dusty because of the buses and the traffic outside, so cleaning is a never-ending job for us. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who take turns behind the counter throughout the day. We usually have the radio playing in the background to pass the time when things are slow. It’s an honest way to make a living and we like being part of the noise and energy near the bus stand. We don't do anything special, just keep the doors open and make sure we have what people are looking for. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery guy is late, but that's just how it goes with a small business. We’ve been here long enough that we don't really need a map to find anything in the store, even in the dark. It is just a normal store for regular people.
