If you head over to Madhuban Colony on Makhmalabad Road, you’ll find us at 9 Shivganga Apt. We are Nasik Co Opcredit Ltd. It’s a local credit cooperative right here in Panchavati. The office is on the ground floor, which makes it easy for the older folks to come in and talk to us. We handle a lot of the small financial stuff for the people in the neighborhood. It’s not like those big banks downtown with the glass walls. We have wooden desks and registers and we know most people by their first names. Panchavati is a busy part of Nasik, so there’s always something going on outside the window. We spend a lot of time talking to members about their accounts or helping them with forms. Sometimes the lines get a bit long on Monday mornings. We just try to get through the work as best as we can. The air conditioner in the back makes a weird clicking noise but it keeps us cool enough. It feels like a community here. We see the same faces every week. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just keep the books straight and make sure everyone gets their questions answered. Being in Shivganga Apt for so long has made us a staple of this street. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be part of the local scene here.
