Nashik Dhol

Nashik Dhol is located at 2583 in Helbawadi. We are right in the Dhoodbazar area of Bhadrakali, which is one of the older parts of Nashik. It’s a place with a lot of history and narrow streets that are always full of people. Our address is more of a home base for the group than a formal office. This is where we keep the drums and other instruments when we aren't performing. It’s also where we gather to talk about upcoming gigs and do some maintenance on our gear. Dhoodbazar is a lively spot, and you can always hear the sounds of the city around us. We aren't a big company with polished brochures. We are just a group of people who enjoy playing the dhol. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who know us or have seen us at local festivals. The building we’re in has been there for a long time, and it has that old Nashik feel to it. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing manager. We just focus on the music and making sure our drums are in good shape. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. Every day is different, depending on who needs us to play. We like being based in Bhadrakali because it feels like the heart of the city's culture. It's just a simple, local operation where the music comes first.
