Mahavir Ice Cream Parlor

We’ve been sitting here at Shop No-30/11 on Tilwan Road for a while now. It’s right near the Satana Gas Agency, so you’ll see the trucks moving cylinders around all day long. It gets a bit noisy outside, but inside we just keep the freezers running and wait for people to drop by. Most people come in after they finish their work or when they’re waiting for their gas booking to get sorted out. It’s not a big fancy place, just some benches and the cold storage units. We spend most of our time cleaning the glass and making sure the floor isn't sticky from any spills. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to jump to get the generator started because nobody wants melted stuff. My brother helps out in the evenings when it gets a bit busier with families from the neighborhood. We don’t really do anything flashy, just serve what we have in the tubs. The street lights on Tilwan Road aren't always working great, but our sign stays lit up so people can find us. It’s a lot of work keeping everything cold in this heat. Usually, we're here until quite late, just folding napkins or checking the stock for the next day. It's just a regular life here, watching the cars go by and talking to the regulars who live around the corner. We know most of them by their names now. Mahavir Ice Cream Parlor is just our little spot on the road.
