Ma Vaishnavi Kirana & General Stores is located in Nashik, specifically in the Kodve Nagar area. We are situated behind Hotel Rayba and right across from Chandrarang Pride at Pathardi Phata. It’s a growing part of the city, but we still try to keep that old-school shop feeling. We deal in all kinds of kirana goods. You’ll find different grades of rice, various pulses, and all the spices needed for a proper meal at home. The shop is often a bit cluttered because we try to fit so much stock into the space we have. When the monsoon hits Nashik, we have to be careful about the dampness, so we keep things off the floor as much as possible. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy bags around. My family helps out with the daily chores. We don't have fancy uniforms or a management team. We just wake up, open the shutters, and start the day. Sometimes people stop by just to ask for directions since we are near the hotel and the new apartment complexes. We don't mind. It’s good to be helpful. The Pathardi Phata area is getting noisier with more cars every year, but inside the shop, it’s just the usual sound of weighing scales and plastic bags rustling. We just keep our heads down and focus on serving the families who live in the buildings around us. It’s hard work but it’s what we know.
