Vaibhav Sheet Metal & Engineering Works

Vaibhav Sheet Metal & Engineering Works is out on Kathwada Road, specifically at Sr. No. 230/2, Plot No. 23. We’re in that part of Pimpalner Shivar in Dindori where it feels a bit like the edge of town. The shop is full of sheets of metal and the smell of cutting oil. It’s a noisy place to spend a day because of all the hammering and the sound of the machines bending steel. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. The road outside can get really muddy when it rains, so we spend half our time trying to keep the workshop floor from getting too filthy. It’s not a shiny office. We have an old desk in the corner piled with sketches and measurements on scrap paper. Most of the time, we’re out on the floor actually working on the pieces. My brother and a couple of local guys help out. We don’t use any high-tech systems for tracking things, just a big notebook where we write down what needs to be finished by when. Sometimes we run out of welding rods and someone has to bike into the main part of Dindori to get more. It’s a straightforward kind of life. We just take the metal, cut it, shape it, and hope the power doesn't cut out in the middle of a job.
