Apex Brass Industries

We are situated at number 31 in Mayur Nagar, right off Air Force Road. Being so close to the air force base means we see a lot of activity in the sky, and the sound of planes is just a regular part of our day. Our workshop is dedicated to brass work, and you can smell the metal the moment you step inside. It’s a distinct scent that stays with you even after you leave. The floor is often covered in small yellow flakes from the brass we’re machining. We have a few old machines that have been with us since the start, and they still run as well as the newer ones we’ve added over time. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when everyone is working at once, but we’ve learned how to move around each other without getting in the way. We usually start early in the morning before it gets too hot, as the heat from the machines can make the shop quite warm by the afternoon. We grab tea from the stall just down the road, and that’s usually when we take a break to talk about things other than work. It is a simple life here in Mayur Nagar. We focus on the brass, make sure the measurements are correct, and keep the machines oiled. There’s no corporate ladder to climb here; we are just a bunch of guys working with metal and trying to get through the day's tasks.
