The shop is right here at Madhu Bhawan on Lekha Nagar Road. Being in the Cidco area means there is always someone passing by. It is quite close to the Esic Hospital so we see a lot of people coming and going from there all day long. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic on the road but that is just how it is in Nashik. We spend most of the morning just getting the shutters up and making sure the floor is clean before the first person walks in. There are lots of shelves to fill up. We keep things like flour and sugar and those small packets of biscuits that people like. It is not a very big space but we fit everything in where it can go. In the afternoons when it is hot outside the fan just spins and we wait for the evening crowd. People from around Lekha Nagar come in for their daily things after work. There is a lot of dust from the road so we are always wiping the counters down with a cloth. It is just a regular place where you can find what you need for the kitchen or the house without having to go too far. The hospital staff sometimes come over for a quick snack or a bottle of water. We have been here for a while now and know most of the faces that walk through the door. It is a simple routine every day.
