Igatpuri Hills Healthy Goats Farmersproducer Company Limited is based at Plot No Asl-22 in Ashvinnagar, Cidco Nashik. As you can tell from the name, we are all about goats. Igatpuri has some good terrain for this, and we’ve been at it for a while. This company was formed so we could work together on getting the goats what they need and finding a place to sell them. Our spot in Nashik is where we handle the paperwork and meet up to discuss the herds. It isn't a high-rise office or anything. It’s just a place with a few chairs and a lot of talk about breeding and feed. Goat farming is a lot of work and you have to be there every day, no holidays. We are just local people who decided it was better to be a company than just individual farmers. We share what we know about keeping the goats healthy in the hills. Sometimes the goats get sick or the weather is bad, and we have to figure it out together. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy things. Most of our time is spent out with the animals or here at the plot making sure the accounts are right. It’s a steady life and we just take things as they come each month. There is always something to do with the livestock and we stay busy with it from early morning until late at night.
