Hembar Event Decorator

Our base is over at the Sanwad Exhibition Data in Nashik. The pincode is 422001. It’s a place where there is always something going on, especially during the busy months when everyone wants to host an event. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy poles, rolls of fabric, and lights around. It’s physical work and your hands get pretty rough and calloused after a few years of doing this. Nashik has changed quite a bit lately with all the new buildings, but this area still feels familiar to us. We don't have a big corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, you’ll find us in the middle of a pile of decorations trying to figure out where the next delivery truck is. Sometimes we’re working late into the night because that’s when the halls are finally empty and we can actually start setting things up properly. It’s not always glamorous, it’s mostly just making sure things are tied down and don’t fall over. We know the local vendors and the guys who deliver the flowers every morning. If we aren't at the exhibition site itself, we’re probably out in the van checking on supplies or meeting someone. The weather in Nashik is usually okay for this kind of work, though the heavy rain can make things a bit of a mess when we’re loading up. We just do our thing and try to stay busy throughout the year. It’s a living.
