You can find us at Greenrise Food Dehydration out in Ozar. We are at Post Ozar, specifically near Pole No 34 in the Niphad Taluka of Nashik. It’s right in the heart of the agricultural belt. Dehydrating food is a slow and steady process and that’s what we do here all day long. We have the machines running and you can hear them humming from the road. Nashik is great for this because of the produce nearby. We get a lot of vegetables and fruits that need to be dried out so they last longer. It’s a lot of manual work, preparing the food before it goes into the dehydrators. We are a small team and most of us are from around here. We don't wear suits to work. Usually, it’s just work clothes that can get a bit messy. The sun in Ozar is quite strong which helps in a way but we mostly rely on our equipment. We have to be very careful with the timing and the temperature because if you get it wrong the whole batch is ruined. It’s a lot of standing and checking trays. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably just see us working near the machines or loading sacks. It’s a straightforward life and we are just trying to build something that lasts. Every day is about getting the moisture out and the quality in.
