Bajpeyi Genral Stores

Bajpeyi Genral Stores has been sitting right here at Devi Chowk on Nashik Road for quite a long time now. If you stand out front, you can see the railway station just across the way. It gets pretty loud with all the trains and the people rushing to catch their rides, but we are used to it by now. The shop itself isn't huge, but we pack a lot into the space we have. Most days start early before the sun is even fully up because that is when the first crowd from the station starts moving through. We keep the doors open through the heat and the rain. People come in for all sorts of small things they realized they forgot at home or need for their journey. Sometimes it’s just locals from the Nashik - 422101 area who stop by to say hello while they pick up their daily needs. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just shelves filled with whatever we think folks around here are going to ask for. The floor gets a bit dusty from the street outside, and the old fans hum all day long to keep us cool. It is a simple life here at the store. We know most of the faces that walk through the door, and that makes the long hours feel a bit shorter. We just keep doing what we do every day.
