We are over on Gangapur Road in Nasik, in a place called "Chafa" within Saptashrungi Colony. It's a nice part of town, quite green and usually a bit cooler than the city center during the summer. Our office is basically an old house that we turned into a workspace. It feels very homey, which is probably why we end up spending so much time here. There are a few of us who work on architectural designs, mostly sitting around a big central table talking through ideas. We spend time discussing how to make buildings fit into the local landscape here in Nasik. Sometimes we have tea out on the porch when we need a break from the computer screens for a few minutes. The atmosphere is pretty casual. We don’t wear suits or anything like that; usually, it’s just jeans and shirts. We have heaps of old project files stacked in the corners because we never seem to throw anything away. Clients usually just drop by for a chat about their renovation projects. We know the local contractors and the way things actually get built around here. It’s a local business through and through. We've seen the colony change over the years as more people move into the area. Our work is just about making sure things are built right. It’s not always glamorous, and there’s a lot of tedious paperwork involved, but it’s what we do. It’s a comfortable spot to work from.
