Ashiyana General Stores

Ashiyana General Stores has been a part of the Bhadrakali area for a long time now. We are located right opposite New Raj Enterprises in Nashik. This is an old part of the city and the streets are always full of life and noise. My shop is one of those places where you can find a bit of everything, from notebooks to washing powder and snacks. It’s a small space and we have used every inch of the walls to hang packets and display goods. Sometimes it feels a bit overwhelming with so many items around, but that’s how a general store works. We get all kinds of people coming in from the neighborhood. Some come for just one matchbox and others buy a whole month's worth of groceries. Being opposite New Raj Enterprises helps people find us easily since they are a well-known landmark around here. I usually sit at the entrance and watch the world go by when there aren’t many customers. The weather in Nashik is usually nice but the monsoon can be a bit of a pain when the rain splashes inside the shop. I’ve got some old wooden counters that have seen better days but they do the job just fine. It’s not a fancy place and we don’t try to be anything we aren’t. We just provide the basics to the people living in Bhadrakali.
