We are tucked away at Plot No.4 on Happy Home Colony Road in the Dwarka area of Nashik. The Shani Mandir is the main landmark near us. It’s a relatively quiet street compared to the main highways, which makes it a nice place for a kirana shop. We have been at this location for some time now, and we’ve seen the families in the colony grow. Our store is filled with all the usual stuff like rice, wheat, different types of oils, and spices. We also keep some milk and bread for the morning rush. The shop is small and humble. We don't use any computerized billing or anything like that; everything is done by hand in our registers. It feels more personal that way. You can hear the temple bells from the Shani Mandir throughout the day and see the neighbor's dog sleeping near our entrance. People often stop by after their prayers to pick up things for their kitchens. We don't have any help, so we do all the heavy lifting and cleaning ourselves. It’s a lot of work to keep everything in order, especially when new sacks of grain arrive and have to be carried inside. We just want to provide a reliable place for the people in Happy Home Colony to get their groceries. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our livelihood and we are happy to be a part of this small community.
